mennonite country ramble
Friday, August 8th to Sunday, August 10th, 2025
Registration opened May 27th and closes July 6th.
We had to change the date from the 15th and 16th because we could not get the proper accommodation. We will be staying at the Staybridge Suites Hotel in Waterloo. A beautiful hotel, check-out their website. Hotel has free breakfast buffet, an indoor pool and kitchen suites in each room for cooking or storing snacks. Cost for rooms with 2 queen beds is $280 per night double occupancy. So TBN members will be paying $280 per person for the two night stay.
We plan on touring through the Mennonite area west of Waterloo. Roads are quiet and on the first day we will visit Anna Maes Bakery and Zehrs General Store in Millbank. Sunday we will be around Wellesley and New Hamburg. There will be an optional Friday ride as well
If you wish a single person room (or have any questions) contact the tour leader Dennis Szilvasy, touring@tbn.ca.
Total attendance is limited to only 30 people.
The pace will be at a relaxed Country Cruise pace, around 20 km per hour, with regrouping spots along the way.
The routes will be posted and added to this event and the TBN map library before the registration opens.
Any questions contact the tour leader Dennis Szilvasy, touring@tbn.ca

This ride takes us to Port Perry, a favourite TBN lunch stop location on the shores of Lake Scugog. It is a "rolling terrain" route from the village of Ashburn to Port Perry with some welcomed newly paved roads. There are various options to buy lunch in Port Perry or bring your own lunch for a picnic in the lovely park looking out to Lake Scucog.
