ASHBURN TO PORT PERRY

This is a Tourist Level ride.

PLEASE NOTE:  All riders, including "30-Day-Trial"/guest riders, must register to participate in this CC.  Please read registration details on the CC webpage

This ride takes us to Port Perry, a favourite CC lunch stop location on the shores of Lake Scugog.   It is a "rolling terrain" route from the village of Ashburn to Port Perry with some welcomed newly paved roads.  There are various options to buy lunch in Port Perry or bring your own lunch for a picnic in the lovely park looking out to Lake Scucog.

Start: 9:00 am Ashburn Community Park on the west side of Ashburn Road, ~200 metres north of the main intersection, i.e. Ashburn Rd. and Myrtle Rd.

Driving Directions: To get to Ashburn, drive east on Hwy 401 to Brock Road; go north to CR5 at Claremont, then east to Ashburn on Concession 9 (Myrtle Road); turn left (north) on Ashburn Rd and left again at the entrance (gravel road) to the Ashburn Community Park on the west (left) side of Ashburn Rd.  There is a sign at the entrance. Continue to the parking lot at the end of the gravel road.

Facilities are (have been) in the form of a Porta Potty in the parking lot. The alternative is to stop at a restaurant or gas station just after exiting the 401 and before heading north.

Distances: 66km, 80km and 92km
