City Walk - Garrison Creek Lost River

Starting from the Tim Hortons at 550 St Clair West (just west of Vaughan Road, about 500 meters west St Clair West station, (note subway closure info below)) we will follow the course of Garrison Creek to Fort York, where it used to empty into Lake Ontario. Along the way historical features and relics of the old creek will be pointed out. There will be a coffee/restroom break around the mid-point of this 12 Km walk. The walk will be mostly along city streets, so walking shoes/boots are fine. We will be walking close to transit lines, so there will be opportunities to drop out if needed. Note that there is no subway service from St George to Lawrence West on the University line, so there is no subway service at St Clair West station.  Allow extra time for shuttles buses.  If you are using the Yonge line consider taking the St Clair streetcar west, or if you are using the Bloor-Danforth line consider taking the Bathurst bus north from Bathurst station.
