CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN AND FORECAST THUNDERSTORMS UNTIL THIS AFTERNOON
New this Year: Guest riders (non-members) will need to register and pay the $5 fee online before the ride. Just follow this link to the registration page. Please bring the confirmation email to the start to show to the leader, either in printed form or on your phone.
Note: If you are driving to the start you will need to use the the Kipling Subway South parking lot. The lot is accessed from Munster Ave, off Kipling Ave. south of Dundas St. You can then take your bike down and through the subway station to Aukland Road. No fare required.
Travel through Mississauga and get rewarded with a beautiful rest spot in Eldorado Park.
You will need to bring your own lunch on this ride as opportunities to pick something up on the way are poor, and there is no food for sale at the park.
The route was revised last year to eliminate the dreary section along McLaughlin and to see a bit of what Meadowvale used to look like before it was swallowed by the suburbs that took its name but none of its charm. It was well received so we're sticking with it.
Be sure to print a copy of the cue sheet, and have a look at the RwGPS map to familiarise yourself with the route. They have both been revised to reflect the new start pont necessitated by construction around the Kipling Subway station.
This ride is considered to be at the upper end of the Urban Roller category. It is not recommended for Leisure Wheelers.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the Tim Hortons at the northwest corner of Dundas St West and Aukland Road. This is very close to the Kipling TTC station. The parking lot that we used to use as a start point is now a construction site.
Please print a copy of the cue sheet provided from the link listed below. Please note that the Ride with GPS cue sheet directions have not been edited and may not be accurate, but the linked cue sheet has been checked and prepared especially for Urban Rollers.
Remember to bring your TBN membership card and helmet.
