Note:  this is winter hiking and requires proper clothing, footwear and crampon style icers.

Nestled in the heart of the provincially significant Oak Ridges Moraine.  Long Sault Conservation area includes close to close to 400 hectares of mature forest, wetlands and meadow.  The area is considered an important core wildlife area because of the diversity and size of the habitats that it contains

Terrain:     Moderate - rocky with hills and/or poor footing.               

Parking   The parking at the trail head is now pay parking.  The charge seems to have gone up this year and is now 7.00 per car.  Carpooling is recommended.
