City Walk - Amsterdam Brewery Walk

  • 21 Oct 2018
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • McDonald's near Runnymede subway station

Meet at 10 AM at the McDonald's on the north-east corner of Runnymede and Bloor, near Runnymede subway station. We will probably be on the 2nd floor.

Bob will lead us on a walk to Amsterdam Brewery and then to Union Station. Distance to the Amsterdam Brewery is about 10 Km, and walkers can board the Queen's Quay streetcar there, or continue walking to Union Station for a total distance of about 11 Km.

The walk will be mostly on city streets and paved paths, but there will be some dirt paths as well, so please wear footwear suitable for the weather conditions. There is a washroom at the start, and we we will stop at the bathrooms at Remembrance Park (8 Km), and there are washrooms at the lunch stop.

Our lunch stop will be at the Amsterdam brew pub, which is a bit pricier than many of our usual places, at about $30 for a meal and a beer. There are less expensive options nearby, such as the Queen's Quay Tim Hortons. A tour of the brewery, for up to 16 people, will be offered after lunch.

Note there is no scheduled subway closure this weekend, but please check  https://www.ttc.ca/Service_Advisories/Subway_closures/index.jsp for any changes.

This is an official TBN event. Non-members will be required to sign the waiver form and pay the $5 non-member fee.
