This ride gets us quickly into the countryside from our starting point. Meet just outside the Aldershot GO train station on the south side, next to the parking lot. We will stop at the Royal Canadian Legion just before Lynden, where we can eat our own snacks/lunch on picnic tables, but apart from a General Store in Lynden that sells junk food, bottled water and pop (and lots of alcohol!), there is nothing else, so bring your own food and plenty of water. There is a nice long (18.8 km) stretch on a partly shaded rail trail on the return leg from Lynden, with a highly-recommended detour to Detour Cafe in Dundas with excellent light fare, baked goods and drinks and an outdoor patio that would be a well-deserved reward for getting that far.

For those arriving by train, the 8:51 AM Lakeshore West GO train is scheduled to arrive at Aldershot at 9:39 AM. When you leave the train, head to the east end of the platform before heading south.

We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.

If you have not registered for the ride, you may NOT  join the ride.
