Thanksgiving in Prince Edward County Cycling Weekend

October 9 – 12, 2015

Enjoy the fall colours on the Thanksgiving long weekend in lovely Prince Edward County (PEC). Our base is Jackson's Falls Country Inn, a true country inn in the small village of Milford surrounded by the natural beauty of “the County” and all it has to offer: wineries, boutiques, art studios, great restaurants and the famous Sandbanks Provincial Park. There are a variety of quiet country routes to cycle. There will be some new routes and favourites from previous trips to choose from.

Note: You must be registered to participate in this trip. Its not designed for day riders.

Features of Jackson's Falls Country Inn:

Located on a quiet country road
Historic school house serving as gathering room, dining room, lounge/bar with gas woodstove and original school house decor
Large guest rooms. Verandas.
Fully licensed, and you may bring your own wine - $5 corkage fee
Locked garage and work bench for cyclists repair and storage
Bonfires on request
Massage therapy, 1 hour by an RMT, can be pre-booked
Commercial kitchen can prepare food for all dietary needs
Food philosophy: serve foods from within a 10 mile radius

*** The demand for this popular Inn is extremely high. Your early registration is key for us to secure the entire Inn for our group, 20 people max. Some incentives to register early:

reduced early bird price
rooms with special features, such as a Jacuzzi tub or a balcony, will be assigned to the first registrants
increased probability of getting a spot on the trip

Registration includes:

3 nights lodging at Jackson's Falls Country Inn
3 full breakfasts

Accommodations are primarily double occupancy rooms:

most rooms have 2 beds
1 room has 1 double bed
1 room has 1 queen bed + sofa bed
all rooms have ensuite bathrooms

Meals:

full breakfast at the Inn is included
optional group dinner at a local restaurant on Friday
optional group wine tasting event on Saturday at a local winery (pre-register)
optional group Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday at Jackson's Falls Country Inn (pre-register)

Cycling Routes/Distance:

Routes are classified as Advanced Easy Roller to Tourist. The terrain is fairly flat. The route distance choices are 60 km or 80 km. The short routes will have a leader, with regrouping as/if needed.

Car-pool:

To seek or offer a ride to the event use the handy TBN car-pool forum. While we will not arrange carpooling, we will try to help in the process.

Price - Early Bird (July 6 - 30)

$338 per person for TBN members (double occupancy)
$539 per person for TBN members (single occupancy, limited to only 2 rooms)
$39 per person for an optional Thanksgiving dinner
$12 per person for an optional wine tasting event

Price - Regular (July 31 - September 8)

$363 per person for TBN members (double occupancy)
$383 per person for non-members (double occupancy)
$39 per person for an optional Thanksgiving dinner
$12 per person for an optional wine tasting event

Cancellation policy:

If a group of 12 people is not achieved before July 30, 2015, the trip will be cancelled and all costs reimbursed.
If you need to cancel your registration, you may receive a refund (minus an administrative fee of 10%) if there is an individual of the same gender who can occupy the room. This person (member or non-member) could be on a waiting list; otherwise, it is up to you to sell your spot.
You might wish to purchase insurance for medical/emergency cancellation.

Early Bird Registration opens for TBN members on July 6, 2015.

Regular Registration opens for TBN members and non-members on July 31, 2015.

Registration closes September 8, 2015.

This trip is limited to a maximum of 20 people (including 1 trip leader) so register early to reserve a spot. When you register you will receive a confirmation email. An email containing extra trip information will be sent closer to the event date.
