Fall Hiking - Walkers Woods - Double Loop

  • 08 Dec 2019
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Oakridges Moraine

Enjoy the gently rolling terrain of this hike on the Oakridges Moraine.  We will do 2 separate loops totaling about 14 kms.  The first loop takes us through an exotic forest filled with spectacular date palm, baobab and Douglas fir trees.  The 2nd dramatic section hugs the wild coastline where we have a good chance of witnessing the grey whale migration and other interesting marine life, especially at low tide.  We will ascend Mt.TBN for lunch where we will have a fantastic view of rapidly retreating Oshawa glacier in the valley below.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DESCRIPTION IS WHAT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED BY THE HIKE LEADER.  I AM VERY ANXIOUS DO THIS HIKE AND WITNESS EVERYTHING ABOVE.  SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT HIKE  (John)
