Be advised this is an Urban Roller class ride. It isn't a slow, or beginner ride. You should be able to cruise at about 20 km/h for 15 minutes at a stretch, and be comfortable riding grouped with other riders on city streets.

Friday, July 8, we bring back what used to be another FNR favourite, the island ride!

Start: Meet at the Ferry Terminal at 9 Queens Quay West near Yonge Street, before 6:30 PM. The Ferry to Centre Island leaves at 6:30 so please be there early. Tickets are $8.70 plus HST and you can purchase them beforehand online. Each ticket includes return trip and bikes are allowed on the ferries.

For about 90 minutes we'll ride the islands from The Eastern Channel to Hanlan's Point and places in between.

We'll return to the city with the Ward Island Ferry at either 8:15 PM or 8:45 PM.

Then, we wrap up the evening's fun with optional drinks or dinner at The Goodman Pub and Kitchen, 207 Queens Quay W.

Always bring a helmet & a spare inner tube. Also, depending upon the time of the year, it may be dark for part of this ride, or while you are riding home, so have working front & rear lights. It also may be quite chilly, so bring some warm clothes.
