Friday Night Ride – Canada Day & Fireworks at the Beaches

Looks like the weather will be good. A bit on the cool side.


Meet at Tim Hortons at Ashbridges Bay Park (Lake Shore Blvd and Northern Dancer Blvd). Map. The route goes around Woodbine Beach, then heads out the Leslie Spit to the lighthouse. Next is Cherry Beach on the Martin Goodman Trail and and the Canary District, with a return to Tim Hortons in time for the Canada Day fireworks celebration at the Beaches. Those who stay for the fireworks are welcome to lock their bikes up in the ride leader's garage a short walk away.

Being Canada day, we would highly recommend that you leave your car at home. Parking is difficult to find and is metered in the immediate start point area. However if you must, you can try parking at the Loblaws at Leslie and Lakeshore Blvd E and riding your bike about 5 minutes eastward to the start point.
Helmets and lights (front and back) are required. Please bring your TBN membership card. If you haven't joined TBN yet, you can come on the ride - Arrive 15 minutes early to sign the waiver and pay the non-member $5 fee. Check the website 2 hours before the ride for last minute info. Regular pedals and regular shoes are advised.  More on FNR and upcoming rides
