Meet at about 10:00 AM outside, or just inside, the main entrance of Deer Park Library, on the north side of St Clair, east of Alvin Ave, about 150 m east of Yonge and St Clair. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.
We will walk approximately 7 to 8 Km in a loop back to Deer Park Library. We will walk up the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail to Eglinton, then follow some quiet residential streets back to the start. We will see a few points of interest along the way. The route will be on city streets and paved or hardpacked gravel pathways. There
There may be parking lots close to the start of the walk, or there may be street parking available on nearby side streets, but the best choice may be to use the subway.
No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check Subway service (ttc.ca) in case there are any changes.
Points of interest (more to be added later) and early exits along the way include:
- 0.0 Km – Deer Park Library (start of walk, washrooms)
- 3.5 Km – Forest Hill Library (washroom, potential take-out coffee stop (adds 0.5 Km to walk))
- 7.0 Km – Deer Park Library (end of walk, washrooms)
