Sunday Urban Roller - Stouffville
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members are welcome with the online payment of a $10 fee. We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.
TTC Note: If you are planning on using the TTC to get to the start please note the the Line 2 Bloor Danforth subway will be opening late (noon) between St George and Broadview stations. Shuttle buses will be running between these stations and some will have bike racks. Allow extra time to get to the start.
Route and RwGPS map note: The route has been revised slightly to provide a proper washroon stop in Neilson Park instead of the dubious Porta-potties at Steeles.
Head up to Stouffville this weekend, far from the crowded trails downtown. This ride will get you out into the country for a change and has some long straight stretches. It's as close to a Country Cruise as Sunday Urban Roller gets. The route takes advantage of the repaved and widened Ninth Line on the return leg.
Lunch is at Tim Hortons, with Harveys and McDonalds at the same intersection. You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
This ride is considered as Advanced Urban Roller due to the pace and longer than usual stretches without regrouping, including one 14.5 km long section. It is not recommended for Leisure Wheelers or people who haven't done much riding yet this year.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the Municipal Green P parking lot, south-east corner of McCowan and Bushby, one block north of Ellesmere, just east of the Scarborough Town Centre. The McCowan RT station is closest.

If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, the cancellation will be posted Sunday morning on the website around 8 am. Please check before leaving for the ride.
