Please Register - Only REGISTRANTS are permitted to participate in this event.

If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.
REMINDER: A mask and hand sanitizer are required.

At this time, we are not accepting "guest" registrations. TBN events

are currently for members only.

Note:   Because of the large number of people on the waiting list we have decided to do 2 hikes.  They will both be the same in all aspects except that we will divide the people registered into 2 groups starting 15 minutes apart.  Group number one will hike with Dave Gagne and the second will hike with John Anderson (me)  Between the two of us we should be able to navigate the route successfully

Please be aware that more people are hiking this year than before and the trails are busy.  I am a little reluctant to add another 35 people to the Bruce Trail  just because it will even be busier.  On the other hand I would like tbn members to have the opportunity to hike this fall and not just those that happened to notice that that the registrations were open early.

We will see how this works and either continue (or not)

Driving directions: Click here

Hockley Valley Provincial Nature Reserve is located within the rolling moraine landscapes of the Niagara Escarpment which was created by a long process of erosion.  This hike takes you through three loops in the Hockley Valley Nature Reserve.

Hockley Valley is very hilly with some rolling sections. A good cardio workout  Free parking in Bruce Trail lot located on Hockley Road east of the trailhead.

Distance:  13 km
Pace:       Moderate (~4 km/hr)
Terrain:     Moderate - some hills and/or poor footing

Directions:  Take Hwy 400 north to Hwy 9.  Take the exit and continue left along Hwy 9 West to Airport Rd.  Turn right on Airport Rd. and go north to Hockley Valley Rd. (flashing light at the bottom of the hill).  Turn left on to Hockley Valley Rd and continue to the Bruce Trail Parking Lot.  This is on the north side of Hockley Valley Rd between 3rd Line EHS and the 2nd Line EHS.  The trail head is just a little further to the west but we will meet in the parking lot.
