Wednesday Wheelie - CHANGED VENUE - Victoria Square Park

  • 12 Apr 2017
  • 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Victoria Square Park, just east of the 404 on Elgin Mills Road

Late on Monday afternoon, we became aware of a new Stouffville parking by-law which limits the use of all the public parking lots in the municipality to three hours. We also understand that there is a $35 fine for going beyond three hours and that the municipality is aggressively ticketing. Accordingly, we have made a quick decision to start again this week from Victoria Square Park. See the details below.

RWGPS links: Short 61k  Medium 80k  Long 97k

Maps and cue sheets to print (unenhanced): Short 61k  Medium 80k  Long 97k

Caution notes: please ride single file on the paved shoulder on Aurora Rd between McCowan Rd and Highway 48. Please also take extra care as you go south on Highway 48, and then turn left/east across Highway 48 onto Lakeshore Rd.

The maps and cue sheets indicate that the designated lunch stops for the rides are at two golf clubs. However, the golf clubs are unlikely to be open at this time of year. Thus, we suggest you stop in either the Musselman Lake area (the short route) or Mt. Albert (the medium and long routes), or you can bring a lunch or snack with you. If you stop in Mt. Albert, there is apparently a nice new coffee shop on the main street.
