A Thursday Ravine Ride Special - Waterfront trail to Whitby and Back

THURSDAY RAVINE RIDE SPECIAL: WATERFRONT TRAIL TO WHITBY AND BACK

Enjoy a scenic bike ride through Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax and Whitby. We will see deer, wild turkeys and the odd migratory bird. A snowy egret was once spotted in Rotary Park, Pickering. Mostly paved bike paths with only a few kilometres of road riding. The distances are calculated for the return trip by train from Whitby (35 km) Ajax (55 km) and Rouge Hill (65 km). Lunch can be purchased at Tim Hortons 2.5 km from the finish en route. If parking lots are full at Rouge Hills Station, free car parking at West Rouge Community Centre, 270 Rouge Hills Drive 2 km from start.

Location: Rouge Hill GO Station. Bike access to the GO train is allowed going east in the mornings BUT NOT AT UNION STATiION. Use an alternate station.  Bikes are allowed going west in the afternoon from the Rouge Station.

When: Thursday, August 15th 2019   9: 30 AM – 2:45 PM

Distances: 65 km 55 km 35 km

Lunch: Rotary Sunrise Lake Park, Whitby

Remember to bring your membership card and helmet. Non-members are welcome for a $5.00 fee payable in advance on-line

However, if you are technically challenged, you may pay $5.00 and sign the waiver at the start of the ride.
