LAKE ERIE BREEZES
SIMCOE TRIP
Saturday, July 12th to Sunday, July 13th, 2025
Registration Opens April 12th and closes June 11th.
Staying at the Comfort Inn, 85 Queensway Drive East, Simcoe Ontario for one night. Cost per person is $92.00 per night based on double occupancy per room costing $184 per night. If you have a roommate please let us know upon booking; otherwise we will assign an appropriate person. Price includes a light continental breakfast at the hotel and a host of researched routes of either 60 km or 80 km.
Total attendance is limited to only 30 people and the cutoff date for registering is June 11th. This trip sold out quickly last year.
The cycling is generally flat in the area but watch out for the winds. Distances will be 60 to 80 kms. The pace will be at a relaxed Country Cruise pace, around 20 km per hour, with regrouping spots along the way.
The routes will be posted and added to this event and the TBN map library before the registration opens.
Friday option
There is an option to add the Friday evening to come early for the weekend. If you are interested in this option, please contact trip Organizer Denis Szilvasy, touring@tbn.ca
For those riders who come down early on Friday we will have a trip organized then if they want one.
Saturday
We will ride down to Port Dover to the French bakery for croissants. We will ride along the shores of Lake Erie past very old buildings, oldest standing mill in Ontario, old growth Carolinian Forest, various microbreweries and an artisanal bakery.
Sunday
We will head north along some rail trails to Waterford to the Antique Market and a botanical garden. Lots of farm markets along the way for hungry cyclists.
