City Walk- University & College to Salad King

  • 08 Apr 2018
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Tim Hortons (southwest corner of University & College, Queen's Park Subway Station)

It looks like the weather will again be a bit cool for a bike ride, so if you are interested in walking instead, meet at 10 AM at the Tim Hortons (700 University, southwest corner of University and College) at Queen's Park Subway Station for walk of about 10 Km that will end at Salad King Restaurant near Dundas Subway Station.

Note that on Sunday there is a scheduled late opening of the subway between St George and Broadview, with service starting at noon, as this may affect your travel plans. For details see https://www.ttc.ca/Service_Advisories/Subway_closures/Apr_8_StGeorge_to_Broadview.jsp

The planned route will include two bathroom stops at about 2.5 and 5 Km, and another Tim Hortons coffee stop 7.5 Km. Lunch stop will be Salad King Restaurant at about 10 Km.

Along the way we will stop to see a number of sculptures by Sorel Etrog (a prominent Canadian artist), as well as a few other points of interest.

There is no separate short route, but as we will be mostly downtown, we should never be more than about 1/2 Km from a subway station or streetcar route, for those wishing to leave early. This walk will be entirely on city streets

This is an official TBN event. Non-members are welcome to join us. They will not be charged the non-member fee, but will be asked to sign the waiver form.
