The weather in the morning looks a bit too cool for me to get to the start of a ride, so I will be going for a walk today. If you would like to join me, meet at about 10:00 AM under the shelter in the north-western corner of Sankofa Square (Yonge-Dundas Square). The nearest subway station is Dundas, on Line 1 (Yonge Line). We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

The walk will be about 7 to 8 Km, with a coffee stop around the middle. We will return to the start and can go to Salad King for lunch. There are washrooms at the start and finish in Sankofa Square (Yonge-Dundas Square) (one level down, in the parking area near the northwest corner, which is accessible from the shelter and also from the from the entrance near the the south-east corner of the Square).

The walk will be on city streets, so shoes or boots suitable for the weather would be appropriate.

Subway service on Line 2 between Ossington and Jane stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, so take this into account if it affects your travel plans, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Points of interest and early exits along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – Sankofa Square (Yonge-Dundas Square) (start of walk, washrooms)
  • 3.6 Km – Mofer Coffee or Dark Horse Espresso Bar (coffee stop, washrooms)
  • 5.0 Km – Union Staion (early exit to subway, optional washroom stop)
  • 6.9 Km – Salad King Restaurant
  • 7.1 Km – Sankofa Square (Yonge-Dundas Square) (end of walk, washrooms)

The route is available on Ride with GPS at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50301894.

We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period, for a fee of $10.

If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.

If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.

REMINDER: A mask and hand sanitizer are required.
