Come on out for a late Oct bike ride to our bordering northern neighbours where we should see some magnificent autumn colours. Expected temp at start time is 11 C but getting up to a balmy 18 before we're done.
Washroom Stop - Starbucks - 20 km, Lake Wilcox - 40 km
Lunch Stop - Locale Aurora or Timmies - 30km
Start: North Thornhill Community Centre, 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave, Vaughan.
For those of you taking the TTC, the starting point is about 7km NE of the Vaughan TTC station.
Route: 66k - Vaughan - King City - Lake Wilcox · Ride with GPS
Ride Leader: Marc Giles
Riders should be prepared to keep a reasonable pace (upwards of 22-26 kph) so as not to fall behind. Although we usually ride in groups, this doesn't always happen and so we ask that all riders come prepared to be self-sufficient. As a minimum, this means you should be able to read maps and fix a flat tire on the side of the road.
Riders should print and bring a map and cue sheet for the route, OR download the route to their Garmin or smartphone device. Cycling helmets are required for all riders.
Please register - Only registrants are permitted to participate in this ride.
If you are unable to attend please cancel your registration.
Check the website 2 hours before the start time in case of updates.
