Sunday Tourist: Whitby GO - Port Perry 77 km

DESCRIPTION

This ride takes us to Port Perry on Lake Scugog, with a stop at the Pantry Shelf Cafe and Bakery   (172 Water Street). There are other food choices available and the water front park to sit and enjoy your lunch. Minimal riding getting out of the urbanized area, maximal riding in the countryside. This is one of the most picturesque rides in the set. Be sure to take the time to enjoy the scenery! 

Meet on the north side of the GO station. A GO train leaves Union Station at 08:50 AM, stopping at the Danforth GO at 9:02 AM (east off of Main Street, just south of Danforth Ave) and arriving in Whitby at 9:45 AM on Sunday morning, hence the 10:00 AM start time. The GO trains leave Whitby for Toronto every 15 minutes in the afternoon.

We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.

Will be cancelled up to 2 hours before the start of the ride if significant rain is forecast with moderate or higher likelihood for any time during the ride.
