NOTE: If you are riding or driving to the start from the east please note that Bloor Street will be closed between Dufferin and Lansdowne for the Big on Bloor street festival this weekend. You can probably get through on a bike if you take it slow as it really doesn't get going until noon. Additionally, the Line 1 subway is closed between St Andrew and Lawrence West stations for track work. Additionally additionally, Lakeshore Blvd is closed at the CNE for the Honda Indy and the Gardiner is still reduced to 2 lanes so don't even think of driving downtown.
Last year the route had to be changed as a result of significant damage to the trails along Etobicoke Creek from unusually heavy rain storms. There is a problem remaining near the airport where a damaged portion of the trail is still fenced off and would necessitate lifting bikes over a fence, so for this year we will use last year's variation.
Lunch is at Tim Hortons near the halfway point . You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the north parking lot of the Kipling TTC station. If you are driving to the start, please note that the lot can now only be accessed from Dundas St. It can no longer be accessed from Aukland Rd.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before leaving for the ride.
