Sunday Urban Roller - Courtneypark Plunge
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Under the Phase 3 Provincial guidelines we are permitted up to 100 participants, as unlikely as that seems.
We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.
We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, hand sanitizer.
A new ride for this year that takes advantage of a recently constructed pedestrian/cycling bridge over the 401 in Mississauga. This ride has an extended run along Courtneypark Drive almost nine kms in length that will give you a good opportunity to exercise your legs.
Lunch will be at a Tim Hortons/Wendy's near Britannia and Mavis. Whether indoor seating is available under Stage 3 isn't known, but food is available. You may still wish to bring your own lunch to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure at the former Kiss and Ride in the north parking lot of the Kipling TTC subway station. Since the recent renovation the lot is now accessed directly from Dundas Street instead of Aukland.
If you are planning on taking the subway to the start please note that Line 2 (Bloor Danforth) will be closed between Broadview and St George until noon. Shuttle buses will be running instead.
The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The RwGPS auto-generated cuesheet has not been checked, but the linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.
