A 74, 91 or 100 km ride from Schomberg to lunch in Caledon East. Meet for a 10 am departure at the Arena parking lot in Schomberg. Map Schomberg is just west of Hwy 27 and south of Hwy 9. The Arena is on the west side of Main Street in Schomberg, just south of Hwy 9. Driving directions The lunch stop is Gabe's Country Bake Shoppe (reviews) in a small mall in Caledon East with an outside sitting area. The mall also has a convenience store. It's the second building on the left side after you make the left turn in Caledon East onto Airport Road. It is passable on some days, but not on others. If it is not passable on Wednesday, re-enter Schomberg by going west along the Aurora-Lloydtown Rd, and then north on Hwy 27. This detour starts 2.3 kilometres from the finish. It will likely have considerably more traffic than the Church St route. Ride carefully. On the way out, the Long Stretched route goes west principally along 7th Line, rather than the traditional 5th Line (a change is as good as a rest?).
