  • This is a relatively flat route with moderate hills as you approach the northern section of this trail.

  • Distance: 303 km. Elevation 1,389 m. Unpaved 32%. Paved 68% (including paved trail ~10%). 

  • Recommend a gravel bike for unpaved rail trail and gravel roads.

  • Bikepacking/touring bags and camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, mattress, etc).

Aug 8 Friday 8am.

  • Depart Barrie and stop in Orillia or Cold Water for lunch, both have enough food options. Foodland in Coldwater is a perfect place to refuel and last major grocery store on route. 

  • 0 km. 8am Start at Barrie Heritage Park or Go-train station (to be confirmed to suit registrants)

  • Orillia

    • Mariposa Market restaurant and food. 

  • Cold Water

    • Perfect place to refuel and last major grocery store on route this day.

  • 104k Six Mile Lake Provincial Park - Camping. 

Aug 9 Saturday:

  • 132.5 km. Waubaushene.

    • About 0.5k off-route breakfast at Subway, Rise to Fries, Tim Hortons. .

  • 132.5 km. Tay Shore Trail which is paved. 

  • 142 km. Victoria Harbour.

    • Foodland

  • 154 km. Midland.

    • Several restaurants and cafes.

  • 162 km. Penetanguishene.

    • Food and restaurants.

  • 190 km. Awenda Provincial Park - Camping

    • Wolf Campground. Site 205. Confirmation INOP25-295673B1.

    • Turtle Campground. Site 24. Confirmation INOP25-269018B1.


Aug 10 Sun:

  • 225 km. Tiny Beach: Tiny Treats European Deli.

  • 252 km. Wyevale. Wyevale Jug City convenience store.

  • 262 km. Elmvale: Foodland. McDonalds. 

  • 303 km. Barrie - Finish at Monkey Brewery to celebrate.
