FALL/WINTER HIKING PROGRAM

Are you looking to participate in a vigorous outdoor activity after a great summer of cycling? Enjoy a social get together with fellow TBNers while maintaining your fitness level.

This year there will be hikes in the late fall, typically after cycling season comes to an end.

    • The hikes will be approximately 12 km
    • The hikes will be circular (loop hikes) to eliminate car shuttles between the beginning and the end points
    • The hikes will be close to the Toronto to reduce driving times
    • All the routes are now on rwgps

A few tips: Please bring your hiking boots/shoes, a water bottle, lunch. a backpack and icers for later in the season. A hat is a good idea, as is rain gear. Layered clothing works best. Wear a couple of pairs of socks - a polypropylene pair (sock-liners) for wicking moisture away and a wool pair for warmth. It's a good idea to bring a second pair of shoes for the drive home (it will help keep the car clean).

If you don't have a ride to the meeting point, post a ridesharing request on our TBN bulletin board. Or look into the City Walks program as the City Walks meeting points are accessible by public transport.

See you on the hiking trails!

The 2024 TBN Fall Hiking Season starts in mid October thru the spring 2025
