This ride replaces the cancelled attempt two weeks ago.

The idea here is to log another ride of 100+ km because of the tremendous benefits of long-distance cycling on the body's immune system (T cells in particular, as explained here). However, a large part of this ride will be the dining experience at Revalee Brunch Cafe, for which I will have made a reservation on the outdoor patio a few days before the ride for 12:45 PM (the earliest possible time after 9:45 AM). Participants are of course welcome to do the ride without stopping at Revalee, continuing back on their own, but in that case please let the ride leader know after you register so that the reservation can be set accordingly.

Meet on the south side of the Burlington GO station. The 8:51 AM train from Union Station (8:59 AM from Exhibition GO) arrives in Burlington at 9:34, hence the 9:45 departure, which gives us 3 hours to ride the 54.5 km to the lunch stop.

We will make a short, rather steep ascent to the top of the Niagara escarpment just past Stoney Creek (walking your bike here, if necessary, is OK). Then, we have a relatively flat ride among vineyards, occasionally dipping slightly into forested valleys as we head to Revalee Brunch Cafe in Vineland. The return trip is largely along the lakeshore.

We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.

If you have not registered for the ride, you may NOT  join the ride.
