City Walk - High Park/Roncesvalles

  • 06 Jan 2019
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • McDonald's, north-east corner of Runnymede and Bloor, 2nd floor

For our first winter walk of the year, meet at 10 AM at on the 2nd floor of the McDonald's on the north-east corner of Runnymede and Bloor near Runnymede subway station.

We will walk in a loop of about 10 or 11 Km, returning to Runnymede subway station. We will go past the unique terracotta house at 20 Jerome, if it has not yet been demolished, as well as a few other interesting buildings. We should never be more than about 1 Km from either a subway station or a bus route connecting to the subway.

There is bathroom at the start and there will be a coffee/bathroom break at about 5 Km. At the end of the walk we can go for lunch at The Swan: A Firkin Pub, McDonald's, or other restaurant in the area.

We will also walk through High Park, so light hiking shoes or boots suitable for gravel trails would be appropriate.

There is currently no scheduled subway closure for this date, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/Service_Advisories/Subway_closures/index.jsp for any changes.

Non-members are welcome. This is an official TBN event, so they will be asked to sign the waiver form,  but, like all winter walks, will not be charged the non-member fee.

If you have trouble finding us at the start, please call me on my cell at 416-917-8866. If I don't answer, try again, as I may miss the first call.
