A Leisure Wheeler ride has not been scheduled for this date, so this walk will be going ahead.
Meet at about 10:00 AM at Dufferin Station, just inside or outside of the main entrance, on the west side of Dufferin, just north of Bloor. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.
The Leslieville Dollhouse was sold this year, and has had its distinctive yard decorations removed, but we will reprise part of the Weird Yards walk we did about 10 years ago. We will see a number of the odd sights that we visited then, including Parashos house, the elephant, the eccentric house of Clinton Street, and a few new ones. Total distance will be about 10 Km.
We will start at Dufferin Station (Line 2), walk to the washrooms at Dufferin Mall, then head north, then in a south-easterly direction, ending up at Dundas Station (Line 1). The walk will be entirely on city streets, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.
There will be a coffee stop around the middle of the walk, and there will be several early exits for those who do not want to walk the entire 10 Km. At the Bloor-Dundas finish there are several places to stop for a snack or a meal, including Salad King.
This weekend there will be no subway service on Line 2 between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations for planned track work. Shuttle buses will operate. Please take this into account if it will affect your travel times, and check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.
