Ken's Prince Edward County Trip: The Wine and Cheese Road Less Travelled
This month's trip presentation features a presentation by Ken Lackman of his group cycling trip in Prince Edward County. The event is free and open to all TBN members and their guests.
This presentation will provide information about a self-organized overnight cycling trip that could be easily done on a weekend as the destination is less than a 3-hour drive from Toronto. Distances are around 60 K a day and entirely on paved back roads with little or no traffic. The presentation will suggest stops for samples at several small artisanal wineries and cheese factories. Accommodation and dining out suggestions will also be provided.
The event takes place at The Northern District Public Library, which is conveniently located a two-minute walk north of the Eglinton Subway station. You can find free parking on the small streets west and north of the library. Please read parking signs before parking.
The presentation will take up 1 hour including a short Q and A, but participants are welcome to continue discussion afterward at the Duke of Kent Pub, which is across the road from the library.
