Explore Toronto’s architectural, historical, cultural, and socially significant buildings for free during the Doors Open weekend. This year’s theme is hidden histories. Uncover untold stories from across the city through a variety of open house experiences, engaging tours and insightful talks.
This year’s Doors Open Toronto will take place on May 25 & 26. Information on the buildings & sites, talks, and neighbourhood tours being offered this year can be found at: https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/festivals-events/doors-open-toronto/.
Let's meet Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Tim Hortons at 550 St Clair Ave W, just west of Vaughan Road, about 500 m west of St Clair West Station. Some of the sites that have been suggested to visit and which are within comfortable walking distance are:
There are other Doors Open sites that we can easily walk to, and we could take the TTC to get to others as well. We can discuss exactly where we want to go at the Tim Hortons. If we walk to the three sites above, starting and ending at St Clair West Station, the total distance will be about 7 or 8 Km. We can stop at Nova Era Bakery for coffee and a snack.
Please email me at citywalks@tbn.ca if you have any questions.
This is not an official TBN event, so there is no need to register, but you can email me to let me know if you plan to attend.
