Freedom Friday - The Port Perry adventure

  • 09 Aug 2019
  • 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Parking lot behind Brooklin public library, Vipond Road, Brooklin.

New start point.

Join us for an exciting new 65km ride from Brooklin to Port Perry. We'll start just north of the 407 extension, avoiding the heavy traffic that the new road brings, and enjoy a quiet break overlooking the lake in Port Perry. And, like all the rides in the Durham region, there are plenty of hills to amuse you, both on the way and on the way back.

Start point: Parking lot behind Brooklin Public Library on Vipond Road in Brooklin (Whitby). Travelling from the GTA, you can take 401E to Lake Ridge Road. Head north on Lake Ridge Road and then east on Winchester Road. Turn left on Highway 12 and then left on Campbell Street, which becomes Vipond Road after Price Street. The library is on your right hand side. Please park at the far end of the lot, away from the building.

Ride leader: Rick McMillan

Remember: Ride leaders will not bring maps and cue sheets to the Freedom Friday rides. Please print and bring your own, or ask a friend to print them for you. Or you can download the route to your smartphone or your GPS device.
