Sunday Advanced Tourist: Newtonbrook to Innisfil Century

  • 24 Jul 2016
  • 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Finch TTC Station, West Parking Lot

Starting from our Newtonbrook base, the Finch TTC Station, we ride up up to Lake Simcoe, through Schomberg and that TBN favourite, the Grackle Coffee Company, is a resting point to go forward north to the lake named after the founder of Upper Canada and Toronto: Lord Simcoe.
The non-century part of this ride gets to come close to the lake, but not quite, as that ride goes to Bradford and the Holland River. Lots of country riding. The shortest rides of course go no where near Lake Simcoe, but do go through Maple and Kettleby. Dario's Kettleby Italian Bakery is the stop for the 89 km ride, while Coffee Culture in Maple is the shortest ride's food stop.

Ride splits:
Shortest ride splits from the longest group at Kirby Rd and Keele St.– turn left at the 19.8 km mark. The shortest ride splits from the middle distance ride at Pine Valley Dr. Short continues south on Pine Valley, while the middle distance ride jogs right, back onto Kirby.

Middle distance ride splits from the longest group at Kirby Rd and Keele St.– turn left at the 19.8 km mark.

The 127 Km ride splits from the longest ride at 9th Line and Side Road 5 – right turn at the 64.7 km mark.

Construction & other notices:

  1. Schomberg's main street is under construction throughout this riding season. You may have to detour and skip the Grackle Coffee stop if it is impassable. Affects the two longest rides.
  2. 19th Side Road is a well groomed dirt road. Only the 89 km ride will use it on this ride.
