DESCRIPTION
Two route lengths (77 km and 95 km) are available. Both rides stop at Grackles Coffee in Schomberg for lunch.
The shorter ride goes north on Weston road to Schomberg and then Jane street return. The longer ride goes north on Keele Street, through the Holland Marsh, and then enters Schomberg from the north. On the return, the longer ride goes south on Weston road, which includes the challenging Weston Wall (aka Strawberry hill).
The beginning and end portions of the two rides are the same and also a short section after lunch. The two rides diverge at about the 12km mark, with the longer ride continuing north on Keele and the shorter ride turning left on Kirby road. This means riders can choose during the ride to do a long or short distance, if they wish. This means you should also bring cue sheets for all routes you think you might ride. Likewise, for GPS units, you should download all routes you think you might ride.
Meet at the Vaughan subway station, east side of the oval, south station exit, depicted below. There is parking available in a parking lot immediately to the east of the oval subway station, at a cost of $7 for the day on Sundays.
We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.
If you have not registered for the ride, you may NOT join the ride.
