Sign up for Cyclon now, before it's too late

You've got less than two weeks to register for CYCLON 2019, which takes place in Waterloo over the August long weekend. Registration closes Monday, July 8, at 11:59 pm. Don't be disappointed, sign-up today!

New this year:

  • Dress up as a popular singer and lip-sync to your favourite songs after Sunday's Banquet and perhaps win a prize. To be sure the right version of your song is available please submit your song titles/artists to Mireille at cyclon@tbn.ca.
  • Newly reopened after a $2.2 million facelift, the Turret Banquet Hall will be the location for our Sunday Night Banquet. It offers a beautiful and larger dinner venue plus a spacious dance floor. Wilf's Restaurant and Bar are back to provide catering.
  • The CYCLON 2019 Committee have altered and expanded rides to include more interesting, more scenic and less busy routes.

Want to volunteer? We need a few more volunteers to help at the Registration Desk on Friday, August 2; for Apres Ride Snack prep and set-up (Saturday and Sunday); and a couple more sweeps (Saturday and Sunday). Please contact Mireille at cyclon@tbn.ca if you can help.

Holiday Tourist rides are back

Celebrate Canada Day with a Holiday Tourist ride to Unionville and brunch at Jake's on Main as we relaunch our program of Sunday and Holiday Tourist class rides. These rides start in the city and head out into the countryside -- perfect for people without a car, or riders who want to reduce their carbon footprint or avoid GTA traffic jams. We are offering two July 1 rides, and details of upcoming Sunday rides will be on the TBN website soon:

  • An 87 km Tourist-A ride
  • A slower-paced 73 km Tourist-B ride. Tourist-B rides are a new concept for tourist-class rides. They are designed as no-drop rides and will appeal to longer-distance Urban Rollers and slower Tourist riders.

Register now for our summer picnic

TBN 's annual picnic takes place on August 11 at Toogood Pond in Markham. Choose your route to the picnic, and then enjoy a barbecue lunch, courtesy of TBN. If you've got the new TBN jersey, please wear it for a group picture under the summer sun. Check the website for details and to register for this always-popular event.
