Sign up now for the TBN Toogood picnic
Register now for TBN's annual picnic, in scenic Toogood park in Markham on August 12. You'll have a choice of rides to get to the picnic, which is a great opportunity to meet up with people and exchange cycling notes. The event is free, but we ask you to register so we know how much food to order.
At print time, the final spots had just sold out for Cyclon, TBN's flagship three-day out-of-town cycling event, which is taking place in the Waterloo area from August 3-6. There are normally last minute cancellations leading up to the long weekend. See the website for more details and to add your name to the Waiting List.
TBN’s Member of the Month for June is Tony Lau, for his outstanding work on TBN’s signature events – TNTO and Cyclon. Tony is an essential contributor to TNTO's success, driving the van with riders’ bags and ensuring logistics go smoothly, from slicing watermelon to pumping tires. He has spent many hours mapping Cyclon routes to ensure riders have amazing and fun adventures there. And his enthusiasm and ready smile make him a great ambassador for TBN.
To nominate someone for July's member of the month, send a short email to memberofthemonth@tbn.ca with your name, the name of the member you’re nominating and what they did. The winner gets a $50 gift certificate and the chance to be recognized as Member of the Year.
TBN is an all volunteer organization and relies on club members to maintain our role as Toronto's best venue for cycling. If you have comments or suggestions about your experience with TBN or would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities with the club, or on one of our club committees, please email club president Ian Rankin at president@TBN.ca.
