This is a "Come Explore with Me!" ride where we will explore a portion of the new Barrie-Collingwood Rail Trail (Angus to Collingwood). Pace: advanced Urban Roller (~20-22 kph avg speed). Gravel or hybrid bikes are recommended as gravel may be quite loose in sections.

Schedule:

11.30am: Meet and leave from parking lot in Angus (12 Alma St, Angus, ON L0M 1B0)

1.30pm: Millenium Overlook Park. Ice Cream at Wayfaring Creamery in the park (45 Heritage Dr, Collingwood, ON L9Y 0E8). Bring your own packed lunch/drinks. Rest/social mixer and sightseeing break for 1h.

2.30-4.30pm: Return to parking lot

Route: Barrie to Collingwood Rail Trail 72k

Please register so that you are permitted to join the ride.  (If you do not have a regular TBN membership, you can purchase a 30-Day-Trial membership - click here). If you have registered and then find out you can't come, please cancel your registration.

Check the website before you head to the start in case the event is cancelled or rescheduled at the organizer's discretion.

This is an advanced Urban Roller-level ride. If you are uncertain whether this level is appropriate to you, click here and scroll down to Class - Urban Roller. For this ride on a rail trail, the elevation is modest. Note that the distance and speed are more toward the upper end of the Urban Roller classification.
