No-Drop Country Ride
Annina's Bakery and Schitt's Creek Set Photo-Op
Starting north of the city, we'll venture out to Annina's bakery. North up quiet country roads, then east along Vivian Rd, before turning south towards Musselman's Lake and Goodwood.
This is a Tourist level ride, not because of the pace, but because of some hills. There will be regrouping at major turns. You should be able to follow a route on RWGPS, but the ride leader will stop and check in with the group at regular intervals. If you are a usual Urban Roller rider, but would like to try a country ride without the fear of getting dropped, this one might be for you!
The ride leader will ride at and average approx 20-21 km/h, but with regrouping. The pace will depend on who attends the ride, so if you sign up, be prepared to be patient and wait for the slowest person on the ride. If you want to ride faster you can, but the expectation is to regroup regularly.
We will be stopping for a snack/butter tart at Annina's and optional photo op at the Schitt's Creek set across the street before finishing the ride.
(Note: The Victoria Square park's toilets usually open between 8 and 9am. Facilities are available at gas stations both east and west of the 404.)
