Join us for a leisurely Saturday morning ride along the Waterfront Trail as we set off from Stonehooker Brewery in Port Credit in Mississauga to Sunnyside Park Café for coffee, then make our way back to Stonehooker Brewery via Mississauga’s newest conservation area – ‘Jim Tovey Park’. This is a new 26 hectare waterfront park at the shore of Lake Ontario. Here we will discover the beauty of nature at this restored stretch of the shoreline with revitalized habitats and a network of trails, pedestrian bridges and a cycling trail beside the future site of Lakeview Village. Jim Tovey park is a great spot for cycling, walking, bird-watching, dog walking and amateur photography along 3.7 km of trail with a breath-taking view of Toronto. The route can get busy with pedestrians so this will not be a “fast ride” and will be slow in some places for everyone’s safety – the emphasis for this ride is relaxation, fun, safety and the social.
