On Thursday, May 21, we will be venturing into Chinatown as we visit an extraordinary and iconic Chinese restaurant. House of Gourmet has been serving great Chinese food for almost three decades. We have reserved a huge round table with a rotating turntable - perfect for sharing dishes.
House of Gourmet is a bustling Chinatown institution serving wonton noodles, late night Chinese BBQ and other Cantonese classics.
Sitting four steps up from Dundas Street, this iconic dining room and its lovably brusque servers have been feeding diners from morning ‘til owl hours for nearly three decades.
Known for its quick service and massive menu—around 800 items spread between two bewildering pamphlets with tiny font—House of Gourmet’s glowing red signs mark an original ol’ reliable that never seems to close. [Blog TO]

Our reservation is for 6:30, so please try to arrive on time.
This event is limited to 12 members and their guests. Please register before Tuesday, May 19 at midnight. Because these events are very popular, there is always a wait list, so please remember to cancel if you cannot make it. Note that if you register and then not attend, and you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the event, you will be moved to the wait list for the next dinner you register for.
House of Gourmet is located at 484 Dundas St. West, which is a 10-minute walk from St. Patrick Station and a 1-minute walk from the corner of Spadina and Dundas. There is a public parking garage on the south side of Dundas. View the map here.
