The City of Toronto website says "Each May, Doors Open Toronto invites the public to explore the city’s most-loved buildings and sites, free of charge. The event provides rare access to buildings that are not usually open to the public and free access to sites that would usually charge an admission fee. Since its inception in 2000, it has attracted more than two million visits to nearly 700 unique locations and remains the largest event of its kind in Canada."

This year’s Doors Open Toronto will take place on May 23 & 24. Information on the buildings & sites, talks, and neighbourhood tours being offered this year is available at: https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/festivals-events/doors-open-toronto/. We encourage everyone to participate by visiting some of the sites.

On Sunday, if you would like to join some TBN members to visit some sites, Yeung will be starting at the Aga Khan Museum. Meet Yeung at 10:00 AM inside, near the main entrance.

According to Google Maps, the Museum can be reached via TTC from the Don Valley Station of Line 5 (Eglinton LRT), followed by a walk of about 950 M (13 minutes). There is also on-site parking available at a flat rate of $10 (cashless).

Please be aware that subway service on Line 2 between Kennedy and Woodbine stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, May 24, and take this into account if it affects your travel plans.

From the Aga Khan Museum, Yeung will probably then visit the nearby Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, and perhaps City of Toronto Archives afterwards.
