Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, community-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs (journalist, author, theorist, activist, and proud Torontonian) which will take place on May 1, 2 and 3, 2026. Information on the Jane’s Walk Festival and the walks being offered this year will be posted at: https://www.janeswalkfestivalto.com/walks.

Some TBN members will be meeting up on Saturday to do some Jane’s Walks together. Let's start with the Yonge & Eglinton Parks, Public Art and Hidden Places Walk.

We'll meet to be ready to start the walk at 11:00 AM. The website says "Walk Start Location: Midtown, Yonge/Eglinton, Eglinton Station". I assume this means the south-west corner of Yonge and Eglinton, near the entrance to Eglinton Station. The organizers will have a sign displaying the name of the walk. If you have trouble finding us, call or message me at 416-917-8866.

After we do this walk, we can talk to determine where we want to go next. If you have any suggestions for Jane’s Walks that you would like to do, please contact me at citywalks@tbn.ca.

In case your travel plans are affected, note that subway service on Line 1 between Finch to Sheppard-Yonge stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday, May 2 for planned track work. Please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are changes.
