Let's meet at about 10:00 AM in Union Station, (not the subway station, but the actual train station), in the Lower Level Food Court, (near the GO York Concourse), and NOT in the Great Hall where we have sometimes met. You should be able to find us in the south-west corner of the Food Court, near Bangkok Buri, Scaccia, and Roywoods. (If you cannot find us, please call my cell, see below). The walk will begin at 10:10 AM.
We will dawdle (wander aimlessly) around downtown, for about 8 Km or so, perhaps see some interesting things, then return to the start. The weather forecast indicates there may be rain, in which case we can meander into the PATH to stay dry. There are washrooms at the start and finish, and we will have a coffee/washroom stop somewhere around the middle.
Some of the Points of Interest along the way include:
- 0.0 Km – Union Station Food Court (start of walk/washroom/coffee)
- approx. 4 Km – coffee/washroom stop
- approx. 8 Km – Union Station (end of walk, washroom, lunch stop at WVRST or Beertown)
The approximate RwGPS route, if we are able to walk outside is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54611748, however if it rains we may walk on the PATH instead.
The scheduled subway outage for this weekend has been cancelled, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are changes.
Please check the website 2 hours before the start time, in the unlikely event that the walk is rescheduled or cancelled. If the walk is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am on the day of the walk.
We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period. We are accepting Guest registrations.
If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.
If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.
