Introduction to curling at Leaside Curling Club

On Febrary 28th at 12:30, come join us for a hands on introduction to curling!  Dave Yates and Suzanne Tucker have secured ice-time at Leaside Curling Club and will teach you the basics of curling in a 2 hour session - including a mini game!

Apres: Amsterdam Barrel House is a block north on Laird.

What you need to do:

1. Register and pay $25 (before Feb 13, 2026). 
2. Bring (not wear) a clean pair of running shoes to change into  (flat sole, no heel) to avoid tracking salt and dirt into the club and onto the ice.
3. Wear stretchy, loose fitting, warm clothing. Layers recommended.
4. Bring mitts and a hat (the ice shed is just above freezing).
5. Helmets optional, but recommended.
6. (IMPORTANT)  Arrive at noon - to sign the waiver and go over safety rules. 

All other curling equipment will be provided by the club.

The waitlist will be enabled. When the event is sold out, you can put your name on the waitlist.

All attendees must sign a waiver before going out onto the ice.

After Feb 13, 2026, there will be no refunds unless your spot can be filled by a person on the waitlist and if so, you will be charged a refund administration fee of $5. If TBN has to cancel the event due to lack of participation, then you will be given a full refund.

There is a lounge from which spectators can watch (no fee).

The arrows show the way into the parking lot from southbound Laird (red) and northbound Millwood (yellow). The curling entrance is located behind the Arena ice pads, near the rail tracks.
