Meet in the Tim Hortons at the south-west corner of College and University, near the Queen's Park Subway Station at about 10:00 AM. The walk will begin at 10:10.

The walk will be about 10 Km. We will walk in a loop, returning to the start. The exact route has not yet been determined, but it will be entirely on city streets or paved paths, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.

We will see a few interesting things along the way and end up in Chinatown where we can stop for a snack or lunch. There are washrooms in the Tim Hortons at the start and finish and we will have a coffee stop around the middle at either an Italian or a Portuguese cafe/bakery, and there may be an additional washroom stop.

Since we are downtown (University/Ossington/Harbord/Dundas area) there will be fairly easy access to TTC buses/streetcars for those who do not want to walk the full distance. Details will be available soon.

Points of Interest along the way (and approximate distances) include:

  • 0.0 Km - Tim Hortons, University & College, near Queen's Park Subway Station (start of walk/washroom)
  • 5.5 to 6.5 Km - Coffee stop (wshroom)
  • 8.5 Km - Lunch stop (Chinatown)
  • 10.0 Km - Queens Park Subway Station (end of walk, washroom in Tim Hortons)

The RwGPS route will be available shortly.

The last time this entry was updated there were no scheduled subway outages but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Check the website 2 hours before the start time - the walk could be rescheduled or cancelled.
