Meet at Lansdowne Subway Station, main entrance, ground level, at about 6:00 PM. We will go for a walk through the neighbourhoods of Junction-Wallace Emerson, and Corso Italia-Davenport. The walk will be about 8 Km, although we may alter the distance to arrive at the dinner stop at the appropriate time. The walk will start at 6:10 PM.
We will see some pleasant but more modest Christmas light displays (compared to previous years). There will be lots of opportunities to stop and take pictures along the way!
At about 8:30 PM, we will go to Frank’s Pizza House (https://frankspizzahouse.ca/) on St Clair, the optional dinner stop. (Note there is limited seating space in the restaurant (about 20) and there may not be room for everyone). From here, participants may exit the walk early by taking the streetcar to St Clair West Station, or continue walking back to Lansdowne Station.
This will be in the evening after dark, and the weather may be very cold and windy, so please dress very warmly. You may want to wear winter boots if there is snow on the ground.
When this entry was last updated there were no scheduled subway outages, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.
The route will be available on Ride with GPS shortly.
