September Dining Out: Ethiopian/Eritrean
On Thursday, September 25, we will be back in the east end and dining at one of Toronto's best Ethiopian restaurants. Rendez-Vous Ethiopian and Eritrean Restaurant offers a huge selection of salads, appetizers, vegetarian and meat dishes (fish, chicken, beef and lamb). Most of the dishes are in the form of small tapas so they are ideal for sharing. Prices are very reasonable considering the reputation of the head chef (see below).
Chef's profile from Rendez-Vous's website:
Banchi Kinde, Executive Chef and Owner of Rendez-Vous has been immersed in Ethiopian cuisine since childhood, following her mother’s culinary path. After honing her skills in esteemed establishments such as the Sheraton and Hilton hotels and various Ethiopian restaurants in the USA, she opened Rendez-Vous in 2001. Since then, the restaurant has become a cornerstone of the Danforth, known for its exceptional food and traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies.
You can view more info about the restaurant here: Click here to see an updated version of the menu.
Our reservation is for 6:30, so please try to arrive on time.
