CANCELLED: Motel to Motel plus Weekend Event with Bluegrass Cycling Club (BCC)
Saturday, May 21th to Monday, May 30th

Reserve time for an exciting and scenic 9 days of springtime cycling in rural Kentucky, enjoying rolling hills and smooth pavement. We will average about 80 km per day, with a SAG wagon to carry ONE moderate-sized piece of luggage per person. We start in Lexington and visit Paris, Mt. Sterling, Richmond, Berea, Harrodsburg before returning to Lexington for the final two days to participate in Bluegrass Cycling Club's Horsey Hundred weekend. Those weekend rides start from Georgetown, a 15 minute drive from Lexington. Weekend distances are between 42 km to 168 km, so everyone is accommodated. See www.horseyhundred.com for details.
We will carpool from Toronto to Lexington, a 10 hour drive, all by Interstate.
Note the 4th day includes the option for a short ride of 27 km, instead of 88 km, to give you an easy day and a chance to rest and explore Berea, a pretty college town.
Registration This trip is limited to 12 people, so book early. Any standbys will be considered depending on room availability. Registration for this event is open only to TBN members until March 18th, and to both members and non-members after this date. When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with an attachment providing an itinerary and some extra information.
Cost The registration fee of $833 includes 9 nights’ accommodation and registration for Horsey Hundred, a T-Shirt for the ride and a SAG wagon. For non-members, the registration fee is $863. Payment is non-refundable and is due no later than March 25th, 2016. Rooms are motel rooms with double occupancy.
Cancellation If a group of 10 persons are not achieved, all costs will be reimbursed. Once the group is complete, bookings are transferable to anyone on the standby list, gender specific, whether or not they are members of TBN. You are strongly advised to purchase insurance for cancellation/medical costs.
Costs not covered All lunches and suppers, which are available at nearby restaurants. Passenger carpool transportation costs of $100, to be paid to the driver at the start of trip, and personal medical insurance.
OPTIONAL HORSEY HUNDRED JERSEY PURCHASE You may purchase a Horsey Hundred Primal cycling jersey at registration or purchase a jersey on site if any are available. Last year there was a limited supply. Please indicate your choice of jersey by size and type. Options are: Short-Sleeved, Sleeveless or Women’s Gemini Top.
