Simcoe Circle Trip

September 12 – 14, 2015

This trip is organized and run on TBN’s behalf by Cycle Canada, a Canadian bike touring company with an excellent reputation that has been a long-time supporter of TBN. A number of members have participated in their Victoria Day century ride, trans-Canada tour, Toronto to Montreal tour or others.

The trip begins at Bradford GO station, 9 a.m. Saturday September 12, and ends there at 6 p.m. Monday September 14. It circles Lake Simcoe in a clockwise direction, with average daily distances of 100k. – longest day 113 k. At least one of the overnight hotels will offer swimming and hot tub. Included in the fee are 2 nights’ accommodation (double occupancy, with singles available at extra price), 2  breakfasts, snacks during the 3 days of riding, route maps, van support, and luggage transfer.

We need to have 8 TBN members registered by June 30 for this trip to go ahead. Fee  is $350, plus HST = $395.50. Fees will not be processed until after  the trip is confirmed.

Registration is with Cycle Canada; you will be asked to give your TBN membership number. (To find this, log in and choose “View Profile” at the top right-hand corner of the TBN website main page; your “User Id.” is your membership number.) To go to the Cycle Canada website and register, visit https://secure.cyclecanada.com/simcoe-tbn.html

If you have any questions, please contact Cycle Canada at sweep@cyclecanada.ca.

Cancellation policy: in the event that the trip is cancelled by the organizers, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations by riders will be in accordance with TBN policy. For riders who cancel, to be eligible for any refund you must fill your spot, either from a waiting list if there is one, or by finding a substitute yourself. Then you will receive a refund minus a 10% administrative fee. Trip cancellation insurance for medical reasons is a good idea.
