TBN Picnic: Aug. 9 at Milliken Park

Registration is free for members and is required to help us plan food and supplies. If you register, please make every effort to attend, as food is purchased based on registration numbers using club funds, and we'd like to avoid unnecessary waste.

Ride registration will be separate. See the TBN calendar for Aug. 9 ride options. A variety of rides will be offered that day, all finishing at the picnic so everyone can come together to enjoy good food and great company. Register here for food planning.

Would you like to join the board of TBN?

This fall, several Board positions will become vacant. The board now has qualified candidates being considered for some of the roles that will be opening, but is still actively searching for a new social director. Without volunteers stepping into leadership roles, it becomes increasingly difficult to offer the rides, trips, and programs that make TBN the vibrant club it is today.

A description of all the club's volunteer positions can be found here.

If you've ever thought, "Maybe I should get more involved," this is the perfect time. We'd love to talk with you about how you can help shape TBN's future. Contact info@tbn.ca New board members are announced at the AGM in November so now's your chance to raise your hand!

A huge thank you to everyone who completed our TNTO feedback survey. Of the 61 participants, we received responses from 39 of you, resulting in an overall experience rating of 4.64/5 stars! Your insights will help make next year's experience even better. Congrats to Ari Caylakyan who won the $25 gift card to Fix Coffee & Bikes for participating in the survey.

Death Announcements

We regret to announce the death of Gail Tannebaum. Gail was a 1990-2000s TBN member.  Long-time members will remember her from Country Cruises and long-distance Tourist rides.  Gail moved to New Brunswick, Alberta, and finally settled in Ottawa where she kept cycling with the Ottawa Bicycle Club.

We are also sad to share that Howard Chan, a very early TBN member passed away in Korea on July 16. Howard, along with Mark Brousseau, originated the City Walk program, which continues to today. Newer members may recall Howard and his wife,Jennifer from their visits to Toronto, where they participated in bike rides and City Walks.
